We are lucky to be part of such a diverse, warm and welcoming community and welcome input into the school. We are focused on creating a community of care for a community that cares; strong involvement and enthusiasm, authentic partnerships and supportive networks are what gives our school the ‘learning buzz’ we are so proud of.
We have Community Forums every fortnight on a Wednesday, either in our staffroom, or in our hall (depending on numbers!)
You are welcome to come and share ideas, hear about what we are doing, learn how you can help your children at home, or just to have a cuppa and a biscuit with us! Email email@example.com to find out what is on the menu at our fortnightly forums.
Thank Goodness it’s Friday (TGIF):
We also have a coffee cart come every Friday, and invite parents and the community to come and have Friday morning tea with us. Cheryl even brings a basket of goodies and has EFTPOS, so please stop in at 11am on Friday!
We enjoy having parents and our wider community come in for “Community Reading”. This can be at a time that suits you. We provide a welcome pack and some training. For safety of our students, all community readers are police vetted. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be a part of our programme, and have 10-30 minutes a week spare to foster a love of reading in our school and community.
We have excellent attendance at our assembly and love to see friends, family and visitors there 1.40pm on Fridays.
If you have a sport that you’re happy to coach or support, please email email@example.com. We have a senior sports rotation and netball, miniball and football on offer during lunchtimes. We also have chess, puzzles, colouring, art, weaving, wheels, coding and minecraft lunchtime clubs… if you’d like to join us, or have something you’d like to share or learn, please get in touch!
